Biochemistry 460—Writing in Biochemistry

Are you planning to pursue studies or research in biochemistry and molecular biology?

Do you need a Composition II course in order to graduate?

Consider BIOC 460, offered in Spring 2007.

BIOC 460 is designed especially for undergraduate students majoring in biochemistry, life sciences, and chemical sciences. It covers the technical literature, new frontiers in biochemistry, research funding, and ethical issues. The course introduces students to these issues through the literature and through presentations by professionals in the field. Students receive training in writing abstracts, research and review articles, and funding applications. Visiting lecturers from on and off campus share their expertise on various kinds of scientific writing.
