Programs of Study in CDB
The Department of CDB offers graduate work leading to the doctor of philosophy degree and actively supports participation in interdisciplinary programs within the school of MCB. The Ph.D. prepares you for positions in industrial laboratories, research institutes, and government agencies, as well as for teaching, research, and administration in colleges and universities. Your degree is earned through a combination of graded courses, oral and written examinations, and independent research. In consultation with faculty advisors and based on your academic background, an individual program is fashioned for you.
