Editorial Services
The MCB Communications Office manages content for the school and its departmental Web sites, plus a school newsletter and a biannual magazine. We are continually researching and developing stories about the faculty, students, staff, alumni, research, teaching, and outreach of MCB. We have developed a network of sources, including school, department, and program communicators, student organizations, development officers, and others, from which to gather stories about people, activities, and achievements in the school and its departments.
Subject areas include but are not limited to
- published research results;
- technology transfer;
- grants and gifts;
- faculty, student, and alumni achievements and milestones;
- undergraduate and graduate programs;
- facilities and services;
- human interest stories;
- personnel updates.

Media Outlets
Our office functions as the central MCB contact for media outlets, including the University of Illinois News Bureau, the College of LAS Office of Publications and Marketing, and the Office of Public Affairs, for dissemination of MCB news. We maintain a list of print, broadcast, and Web outlets and can distribute your story to the appropriate audiences.

Photography
The MCB Communications Office is building a searchable database of current and historic photographs relating to the School of MCB and its departments. If you have photos to contribute, please call (217) 265-6594 or send e-mail to mcbcommunications@uiuc.edu to discuss transfer to the archive.
